Introduction
On behalf of Fountainhead Montessori, we hope that your family stays safe and healthy. We are committed to the health and safety of our students, teachers, and staff. Our school is open with students attending class. Here you will find information on our health and safety protocols for COVID 19.
Safety and Cleaning Protocol
- Infection Prevention in Our Schools
As a part of our daily operations, we follow the guidelines of the CA Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Occupational Safety & Health, and the local health department.
- Advanced air handling
Please note most classrooms have advanced air handling using a MERV 13 rating.
- What type of cleaning do we perform on campus?
We clean, sanitize, and disinfect every classroom where shared surfaces/materials must be shared. However, shared surfaces will be minimized as much as possible. Also, we use Oxivir®, a medical-grade cleaner typically used in hospitals. This powerful cleaner efficiently eliminates germs and is gentle to use on hands and surfaces. Plus, we have a professional cleaning company that comes into clean nightly.
- Daily Health Guideline
We will always put safety first and follow protocols. No one with a temperature over 100.4 will be allowed at the school. If anyone has a cough or a cold or had close contact with others that have symptoms of fever, or shortness of breath, entering the campus is not allowed. Everyone is required to wash their hands frequently, and we recommend it when entering and before exiting. Please notify us if your child was at school and was diagnosed with a contagious illness so that we can take proper measures.
- Social Distancing
We follow the local health department guidelines that suggest we limit close contact with others as much as possible and maintain more than three feet of separation.
- Campus Access
Our goal is to minimize visitors whenever possible. We require staff and visitors to follow the social distance guidelines and best practices for parents at drop-off and pick-up times. We will conduct periodic health screenings of staff and students as necessary. We will inform and follow up with staff and parents to maintain compliance with all guidelines.
